El Paso Mentis facility accredited for programs

Mentis Neuro Rehabilitation has received a three-year accreditation for its 16-bed brain injury rehabilitation facility at 1831 Murchison in Central El Paso.

The facility was accredited for its adult outpatient and residential rehabilitation programs by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, or Carf International, based in Tucson, Mentis recently announced.

Mentis went through a peer review process in which it had to demonstrate to a team of surveyors that its programs and services meet high quality standards, Mentis reported.

Mentis, based in Houston, opened its El Paso facility in November 2007.
