The Brain Injury Association of America (BIAA) is the largest and oldest brain injury advocacy association in the country. An extremely useful web site serviced by the Greater Washington Area Public Broadcasting and supported by the Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center. It provides educational resources regarding traumatic brain injury (TBI) basics, personal stories, and specific information for people with TBI as well as their friends and family.

Natiional Institute on Neurological Disorders and Stroke

This site is created by the National Institute of Health.  It provides useful information regarding brain injury and available support groups.

National Stroke Assocation

The mission of the National Stroke Association is to is to “reduce the incidence and impact of stroke by developing compelling education and programs focused on prevention, treatment, rehabilitation and support for all impacted by stroke.”  This very useful web site provides easy-to-use education materials, information on support groups, stroke recovery, and stroke prevention.
